Telehealth Informed Consent

Effective July 15, 2026 · v2026-07-15

Interim draft — pending counsel review. This document is provided for transparency while our final legal copy is being reviewed by counsel. It may change before launch.

This describes the telehealth care you consent to receive through Oxiline RX, including its benefits, risks, and alternatives.

1. The nature of telehealth

Telehealth uses secure electronic communication to deliver care without an in-person visit. Through Oxiline RX, a US-licensed clinician reviews the information you submit (often asynchronously, meaning not in real time) to evaluate you and, when appropriate, to prescribe treatment. You consent to receiving care in this manner.

2. Clinical evaluation and the right to decline treatment

A clinician must review your intake before any prescription is issued. The clinician exercises independent medical judgment and may determine that treatment is not appropriate or safe for you, in which case treatment may be declined. Completing intake or saving a payment method does not guarantee a prescription.

3. Potential benefits and risks

  • Benefits include convenient access to licensed clinicians and treatment without travel.
  • Risks include, in rare cases, that information transmitted may be insufficient for clinical decision-making, that technology could fail, or that an in-person evaluation may ultimately be needed. All treatments carry potential side effects, which your clinician will discuss with you.

4. Alternatives

You may choose to seek in-person care instead of telehealth at any time. Telehealth is not a substitute for emergency care — for a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

5. Privacy of your information

Your clinical information and messages are maintained by our clinical partner in a HIPAA-compliant environment. Reasonable measures are used to protect the confidentiality of your telehealth care, though no electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.
